Jena Olson (she/her) is a strategic nonprofit leader, committed intersectional feminist, and accomplished artist with over 20 years of professional experience in mission-driven organizations. She currently serves as the Deputy Director of WIA, a global advocacy organization dedicated to achieving gender equity in the animation, visual effects, and gaming industries, where she oversees staff and programs to ensure the successful implementation of WIA’s mission. Based in San Diego, California, Jena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gender & Women’s Studies and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, and a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego. She is also a proud graduate of the Social Justice Training Institute and is trained in community engagement and group facilitation. In her personal time, Jena enjoys creating mixed media art, reading, training for half marathons, and planning her family’s next adventure abroad.
