In 2010 he collaborated with director Ben Hibon, designing concepts and characters as well as supervising Framestore's work on the striking ‘Tale of The Three Brothers’ animation sequence in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1. 2012 saw him worked as a Pre-vis and Animation Lead on Alfonso Cuaron‘s Oscar-winning Gravity, followed by supervisory roles on 47 Ronin and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. He was Animation Supervisor on Disney’s blockbuster live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast and led the stand-out pop-up book sequence for Paul King’s much-loved Paddington 2. Dale re-joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Avengers: Infinity War, before leading Framestore’s animation work on Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Following work on Venom: Let There Be Carnage and A Boy Called Christmas (based on the best-selling children’s book by Matt Haig), Dale sampled something sweet for Paul King’s Wonka. Remaining in realms of fantasy, Dale has most recently leant his talents to Jon M. Chu’s adaptation of Broadway musical Wicked, telling the backstory of the witches of Oz.
