Francina Ntsimane

With over 12 years of experience, I specialize in economic research, macroeconomic strategy development, and industrial development. As a developemtal economist at the Gauteng Department of Economic Development, I am committed to driving economic growth and fostering innovation through impactful strategies. My work is rooted in a collaborative approach that aligns with Gauteng's mission of transformation and modernization, bringing diverse perspectives to promote sustainable development and empower local businesses.

At Gauteng Department of Economic Development, I focus on developing macroeconomic strategies such as the Gauteng City Region Economic Growth and Development Plan 2030, The Gauteng Informal Business Upliftment Strategy 2030, The Gauteng Tourism Masterplan 2030, and the Gauteng MSME and Entrepreneurship Strategy 2030. My main approach to strategy development evolves around visionary leadership that is rooted in collaboration and economic facilitation amongst stakeholders within the Gauteng economy from both the public and private sector. Communication skills are a significant priority without the ability to communicate a vision and its relevance to the appropriate stakeholders and partners, the vision will remain unattainable.
