Heldden Byumvuhore is a Rwandese-Canadian advocate for social and systemic change, emphasizing human value and promoting global inclusion. With a strong background in organizational development, corporate social responsibility, and strategic planning, she has made significant contributions across various sectors. She holds a BA with a double major from Concordia University, a Ms. in Public Policy, and certifications in Canadian Immigration Consulting and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace. At AfroVFX, Heldden supports African women in the VFX and Animation industry through program development, mentorship, education, advocacy, and project management. As Program Manager for ANIMAZONES, an AfroVFX initiative, she works along Dedy and Eric (co-founders of AFROVFX) to create opportunities in VFX and 3D animation for young women in French West Africa. The initiative, launched in 2023, features professionals touring from Montreal to Abidjan, hosted at the Orange Digital Center. Heldden also hosts the Sauti VFX podcast, which discusses VFX, animation, video games, and the African film and cinema industry. Heldden has held various roles within the global VFX and Animation industry, including at the Quebec Film and Television Council (QFTC), where she facilitated international and national events in Quebec's VFX and 3D Animation cluster, as well as at Digital Domain Productions and Double Negative Productions in Montreal.
