Irmak Atabek

Irmak Atabek is a multidisciplinary media and entertainment professional with over 15 years of experience in the animation and children's media industry. She co-founded MakoKids, a woman-led children’s media and consultancy company that designs and produces quality content for worldwide clients and NGOs. Irmak resides in Nairobi, Kenya, where she manages MakoKids’s projects for the African market including Papa Hapo, a preschool animation show. Having harbored a personal interest in AI philosophies for years, Irmak co-founded KidsAI in 2023. In this venture, she leads the development of ethical and safe AI technologies for children's products. This initiative highlights her commitment to preparing young minds for a conscious, technology-empowered future. Irmak, a mother to a daughter, is passionately committed to fostering a brighter tomorrow for the next generation.
